I. Objectives :
1. Educational aims: Ss should be ready for their new school year.
2. Teaching aims: At the end of the lesson, Ss can tell about the topics and structure of the book.
II. Preparation: student book, work book, ruler, chalks…
III. Procedures:
1.Activity 1 :
Have Ss work in groups-introduce the number of units and their names-their meanings in
Vietnamese
Unit 5 : Birthday and Toys
Unit 6 : Outdoors
Unit 7 : Food
Unit 8 : Animals
2.Activity 2 :
-Divide the class into 8 groups – Have sts predict what they will learn relating to each topic
- Gr 1 : Unit 5
- Gr 2 : Unit 6
- Gr 3 : Unit 7
- Gr 4 : Unit 8
- Get feed back
3.Activity 3 :
-Have Ss say aloud about the shape of each unit
- Let’s start
-Let’s learn
-Let’s learn more
-Let’s build

Teach sts the song: HI, HOW ARE YOU?
